Mission: To provide one-time assistance to help low-income households with utility and rent/mortgage assistance.
In some special cases we may help with auto repair, extending into cities beyond those listed below. Please call or email us first to see if you qualify.
The Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF) assists with one-time aid to residents of the following areas: Aberdeen, Atlantic Highlands, Belford, Cliffwood, Hazlet, Highlands, Holmdel, Keansburg, Keyport, Leonardo, Lincroft, Matawan, Middletown, Port Monmouth and Union Beach.
Applicants can print out the EAF form by pressing the Ctrl and P buttons simultaneously at the EAF Form screen.

Submit the completed EAF form with the following documents
A COPY OF (documents will not be returned):
* Photo ID
* Pay stubs (household income for 1 month)
and/or any paperwork documenting monthly
income amount (eg social security).
* If applicant has any rental assistance (eg Section 8), documents verifying amount is also required.
* If mtg or utility assistance is needed: The bill.
* If rental assistance is needed: The rental
lease along with landlord's name, address and telephone number. (Only the first 2 pages and
the last signature page are required.)
The EAF form and documents can be faxed or dropped off at
96 Kings Hwy (PO Box 4041, if mailed)

Documents may be dropped off
in the Calico Cat Thrift Shoppe (EAF lockbox) or
the Calico Cat Cupboard & Pantry. Click Calico Cat Thrift Shoppe and Cupboard & Pantry tabs for their operating hours.
Appointments will be made by EAF after receipt of all documents.
Exceptions can be made in certain extreme cases.
